Therm-FM: Foundation Model is ALL YOU NEED for 3D-ICs Thermal Simulation

Therm-FM is a neural operator framework that adapts a pretrained partial differential equation (PDE) foundation model to both steady-state and transient 3D-IC thermal simulation. It addresses the challenge of high data-generation costs when training thermal predictors from scratch for each chip design. The framework leverages the shared mathematical structure of heat conduction across different chip designs to enable cross-design reuse.
